This highly acclaimed veteran of the 90s DJ scene in São Paolo brings his unique blend of Brazilian motifs and African percussion for a night with Manchester’s global music promoters, Nossa! Their founders Hannah O’Gorman and Keltoi are joined by Me Gusta Collective founder, Atiké.
Head honcho Bitzer Maloney takes the reins all night long this July, when Bakk Heia celebrate the big ocho down at their regular haunt in Salford. Expect wacky records interspersed with slammers ’til the wee hours, where things will almost certainly get more wonky than you thought possible.
With over 30 live acts and DJs across 3 stages, this one day event sees Manchester’s South-Asian diaspora come together to celebrate in true ‘daytimer’ fashion – you can expect punjabi garage, bhangra, as well as all of the amazingly inventive crossover music that’s come out of the scene in the past few years. There’s also food provided by Dishoom and art being exhibited. Kids are allowed ’til 9pm.
These promoters have been throwing parties all over Europe for nearly a decade, with UK garage, jungle and breaks in equal measure. You’ll find the former in spades at this event, with the Leeds born DJ/Producer playing all night long down at Yes.

Hitting the Loft this July are doodle, long-standing promoters of house and disco in the rainy city – and they’re not taking any prisoners for this debut at the purple venue. They invite cult-heroes Optimo, the Glaswegian pair who never fail to create sparks wherever they play. Hot off the back of the return of their new festival project, Watching Trees, the duo are continuing to put out fine record after fine record of transcendental bangers ’til the cows come home.
