With summer in full flow, we’ve rounded up the hottest club nights coming to Manchester over the next few months.
Can you believe it’s 40 years since the first night at the Haçienda? This November sees some of the all-time greats hitting Manchester once more. Kerri Chandler, David Morales and Kenny Dope top a killer bill of house heads on the Concourse, while four vintage bands take over the Depot, including the legendary Happy Mondays playing alongside Orbital, fresh off the back of the 30 Something collection.
This August Bank holiday sees local promoters, Noire State team up with thriving label, Scuffed Recordings, with New York’s Ayesha headlining a bill at sweaty basement, Stage and Radio. She’s joined by burgeoning talent, LUXE, who you may remember from Manchester-based collective, BLOOM. Support comes from Scuffed and Noire State residents.
With Summer of Love festival’s second edition sadly cancelled, they’ve announced a load of smaller replacement parties across the weekend. This one sees No Art label duo, ANOTR headline outdoor space, Progress Centre alongside fellow dutchman, Toman and Mancunian, Pach.
Start your week with a bang at Hit & Run’s start-of-season slammer, with none other than drum ’n’ bass legend, Alix Perez headlining. He’ll be spinning for three hours, hosted by SP:MC, Strategy, and T-MAN. Room two sees Stay-C, an export of South Africa’s small but thriving drum ’n bass scene. Zeitgeist and Emma B make their MCR debuts alongside Hit & Run founder, Rich Reason.
