Here’s our pick of the finest clubnights and day parties that have been announced over the past few weeks.
Call Super’s love affair with the White Hotel continues to grow, so much so that this time he’s back for a 15-hour party, playing both in the day – back to back with Hessle Audio’s Pearson Sound no less – and for the night, with an extended set alongside Russian purveyor of all things deep and hypnotic, Vlada.
NAM continue to throw city-centre parties despite having made roots at their new home, Ōdiobā in Stockport. They return to Side Street Studio for another collab’ with Fruit Merchant head-honcho, Hidden Spheres – also known for his big-room balearic anthems on Rhythm Section – who’ll be taking the reins all night long on NAM’s full 4-point, vintage sound system.
This August bank holiday Sunday sees jungle veteran, Roni Size hit Quay Street. Expect a night of his timeless take on breaks, which incorporates the sizzling high-end qualities of jazz and the visceral energy of funk at every turn. He’s supported by Chimpo who’ll be playing a jungle set especially.
WHP’s annual festival sees Mayfield Depot in full effect, with all the outdoor and indoor stages in action – including the intimate Star and Garter, famed for its cheaper bar (tip!). But the heavyweight action at REPERCUSSION is in the Depot, where Jungle will be bringing their live show alongside DJ sets from Bonobo and Honey Dijon. There’s veteran action from Chez Damier and Luke Una too.

This annual three-part festival is becoming something of an institution down at Hulme Community Garden Centre – with the who’s who of the North’s underground scene all merging for a day and night party across the city. The opening weekend sees jazz acts Ni Maxine and Ubunye head up the day, while Rinse FM mainstay, Arthi tops a bill at YES ’til late.
