Day parties, secret venues and festivals all feature in our latest Manchester club guide. Get stuck in…
Manchester’s liveliest quintet return to the White Hotel for the ‘a party called…’ series. This ‘Blues’ edition sees founders, Anz, Finn, Chunky, Jungle Joe and Tom Boogizm going b5b all night as always. We heard the ‘Trust’ one was very, very fun and expect this one will be no different – roadblock vibes.
The day parties are coming in thick and fast now and Hit & Run are leading the charge as always. This BBQ and bass affair sees Brazilian drum’n’bass legend DJ Marky head up a bill – most likely scratching upside down as always – with Critical Music’s ever-present, Kasra. Taking over stage 2 are 0161 UKG promoters, Warped, who’ve invited Manchester’s Larishka to spin alongside a b3b from co-founders Mattik, Skint and KC.
After a year’s hiatus, minimal house promoters, Animal Crossing are back with another secret location special this bank holiday. They’ve not been resting on their laurels though, rather they’ve been busy spinning records in Barcelona, Ibiza, Amsterdam and Fabric no less. This May sees them invite stalwarts of the Romanian scene, Arapu and Nu Zau for a 9-hour session alongside their founders. We’ve seen the space and it looks amazing, don’t sleep.
Probably the biggest party in the UK if not the world, Parklife is undoubtedly a huge date in the music calendar. This year sees the 1975 headlining alongside Aitch and Fred again.. who happens to be playing at the Valley stage after a certain artist called Skrillex… We expect there may end up being some spontaneous b2b action that day.

Warped keep up their winning Wednesday streak with another night of all things UKG down at XLR in Withington. This time they invite the exciting Bristol producer, Fonzo – whose upcoming release on the new wave of garage’s most iconic label, E2CA, is about to light up the circuit. Joining Fonzo is two of Manchester’s own, Cleopatra and DJ Oterix, both making Warped debuts.
