Aurie Styla offers up some ‘Green’ initiatives in his latest tour, Bobby Mair would rather live out life as a ‘Cockroach’ and XS Malarkey offer a ‘secret’ lineup in this week’s comedy picks.

XS Malarkey at Bread Shed | Tue 8 Mar | 7.30pm | £3/6

XS Malarkey falls squarely on Independent Women’s Day this week and although their lineup is currently shrouded in mystery you can bet it will be packed full of the best comedians in the country. We can’t wait to see what they have planned as one of the city’s (nay, country’s) most progressive comedy clubs.

Aurie Styla: Green | Wed 9 Mar | 8pm | £16

Now on his fourth solo show, Aurie Styla brings his latest work to The Frog & Bucket in a bid to be more ‘Green’, an allusion to the need to be more environmentally friendly and honest with one’s self, as it’s also his real second name. It’s strange for an act to be classed as both a rising talent and at the top of their game but here we are. Styla must be seen.

Bobby Mair: Cockroach | Sun 13 Mar | 7pm | £12-14

The unkillable Bobby Mair returns to mine more trauma for your entertainment in his fifth and finest show. A new father and perennial misanthrope, Mair is a brilliant writer with a wealth of pain to bring some nuggets of joy to a paying audience. One of the best around.
