Christopher Macarthur-Boyd, Glenn Moore and Bec Hill are all in town with their new WIPs, and there’s an alt comedy night at GRUB from some of Manchester’s finest alternative comics.
Four of Manchester’s most alternative comedians have teamed up for a Ronseal-esque evening of stand-up entitled ALT Comedy Night. Eschew the MSM and join Eryn Tett, Jain Edwards, Rose Gray and Julie Burrows for a walk on the weird side as these four acts bring you a mix of clown, character and multi-media comedy that can’t quite be fit neatly into a box but will make you laugh a lot.
Christopher Macarthur-Boyd is fast becoming one of the UK’s favourite young comedians. Ably holding his own on the Here Comes The Guillotine podcast alongside Susie McCabe and Frankie Boyle like an old veteran, his wily charm belies his boyish looks. Go see him in these intimate surrounds before he’s playing much bigger stages.

If you can find two comedians who can master an unwieldy show title pun better than Bec Hill and Glenn Moore, then we’d love to meet them. Presenting Guess Who’s Bec, Bec Again? Bec Hill’s Bec! (Tell A Friend.) and Please Sir, Glenn I Have Some Moore? respectively they’ve set expectations pretty high from hilarious titles at XS Malarkey this week. Thankfully, they’ve got more than enough goods to back it up.
