Emma Sidi is Sue Gray at Fairfield Social Club, Robin Ince headlines XS Malarkey and Justin Moorhouse presents a charity fundraiser with a heck of a lineup at The Frog.

Robin Ince at XS Malarkey | Tue 26 Nov | 7.30pm | £3/6

Malarkey favourite Robin Ince pops up to 53Two for a pre-Christmas treat as he peddles more of his cerebral comedy for a baying crowd. Tickets are nearly gone for this one so we suggest you act fast. There’s a reason big names such as Ince keep heading back to Malarkey and that’s because it’s the best night of comedy in the city.

Stand up for Acorn & The Wellspring at The Frog & Bucket | Wed 27 Nov | 7pm | £19

How’s this for a midweek pick-me-up; Justin Moorhouse hosts a huge lineup of talent including Mike Newall, Chris Washington, Karl Porter, Katie Tracey, Hayley Ellis and Tom Wrigglesworth at The Frog & Bucket this Wednesday. And it’s for a good cause as they look to raise money for Acorn Recovery Services who support those breaking free from addiction & The Wellspring who offer support to people experiencing homelessness and those at risk of losing their home. A timely concern during the upcoming festive period and a great way to do your bit while having a good laugh.

Emma Sidi at Fairfield Social Club | Sat 30 Nov | 7pm | £18

Before she became the charming break-out star of the most recent series of Taskmaster, Emma Sidi had a critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe with a hilarious character show based around a re-imagining of super sleuth and Kier Starmer’s most trusted advisor Sue Gray. Now taking it on a whistle-stop tour of the UK, Sidi finally hits Manchester with this funny and silly show about the chief lockdown party investigator. A show that’s both time-sensitive because it’s one of the last times Sidi will be performing it and while the name ‘Sue Gray’ is still relevant in anyone’s mind.
