Jess Fostekew is in XS Malarkey’s new spot, Nina Gilligan is at Hope Mill and you can end the week with some Lay Down Stand-up.
If you happen to be around Ancoats this Thursday make sure you head to Hope Mill Theatre for a frankly ridiculous lineup of comedy. Headlining is local hero Nina Gilligan who has been recently garnering well-earned recognition for her brilliantly observed stand-up. Also on the bill will be Brennan Reece and rising star Elaine Robertson, all held together by Danny McLoughlin. You won’t find a better comedy bill in the country this weekend.
Host Alex Camp is back at Dulcimer for some more chilled out stand-up with Lay Down Comedy this Sunday. For fans of podcasts like Have a Word, Hot Water Green Room, Mild High Club, expect a laid-back attitude and more conversational tone to your comedy with turns from Camp, Ryan Kenny and some exciting ‘special surprise guests’. A nice way to end the week.

Another top comedian who’s giving the Fringe the swerve is Jess Fostekew. Edinburgh’s loss is very much Manchester’s gain as XS Malarkey welcome Jess to their new permanent home of 53Two for a pretty special evening of stand-up. Jess is one of the best in the UK and a joy to listen to gripe and overshare her way through modern society. If there are still tickets left then grab them quick.
