Joe Kent-Walters is back for more as Frankie Monroe, Chloe Radcliffe and Stuart Laws have works in progress at XS Malarkey, and there’s a belting Title Fight at GRUB.
Jack Nicholl’s Title Fight returns for some May Day Mayhem as the best of Manchester’s comedy scene put up their metaphorical dukes and battle it out for supremacy at GRUB on Wednesday. The likes of Jess Perillo, Adam Evans and Alison Whitehead will be creating new works of comedic art with titles chosen by their opponent, with the outcome always being the most unexpected and hilarious. A midweek boost that hits you like a bolt from the blue.
After a bumper year where he followed up winning the BBC New Comedy Award with a Best Newcomer victory at the Edinburgh Fringe, Joe Kent-Walters is kicking on with a pretty great 2025 too. Especially in Manchester, where he has already sold out two performances of his blisteringly funny character act Frankie Monroe. Here he’ll be right at home at Fairfield Social Club for his hat-trick of Manchester gigs before starting afresh with a new Frankie adventure in August once more. Don’t miss out again.
