Katie Norris and Chelsea Birkby bring their debut tour shows to Salford and Manchester respectively, and musical comedian Huge Davies will be playing an Album For His Ancestors (Dead).

Katie Norris at Lowry | Tue 18 Mar | 8pm | £15

Katie Norris’ Farm Fatale was one of the smash hits of last year’s Edinburgh Fringe and this will be a homecoming of sorts for the musical comedian who formed the sketch duo Norris & Parker in this very city. Now going solo and belting out heartfelt musical numbers about the trials of the single thirty-something life she leads.

Chelsea Birkby at GRUB | Thu 20 Mar | 7pm | £13

Another debut tour, this time hitting GRUB, as Chelsea Birkby channels the early oughties with her tour show This Is Life, Cheeky Cheeky. Though this is her debut tour, this is Birkby’s second full hour of stand-up and her assuredness belies her age, playfully combining pop culture and philosophy in a smart and silly show that unpacks being in the moment, desire and also ass.

Huge Davies at Lowry | Sun 23 Mar | 8pm | £19.50

Another musical comedian, this time with their third show as Huge Davies performs an Album For My Ancestors (Dead) at Lowry to round out a pretty healthy week of live comedy in Manchester (and Salford). Featuring his well-worn and impressively draped Yamaha on his shoulders, Huge will deadpan his way through songs passed down by his ancestors. Ancestors that just happen to have tenuous connections to popular culture touchstones.
