New Zealander Ray O’Leary plays his first Manchester gig, Sam Lake headlines XS Malarkey and there’s Galentine’s fun at Fairfield Social Club.

Sam Lake at XS Malarkey | Tue 10 Feb | 7.30pm | £6/3

Sam Lake returns to XS Malarkey with his brand new show, You’re Joking Not Another One! A tongue-in-cheek name for a tongue-in-cheek performer and one of the most joyous jokesmiths to watch in action. He’ll be ably supported by rising star Maia Tassalini and new stuff from Rob Rouse. What an evening.

Ray O'Leary at Fairfield Social Club | Fri 13 Feb | 7pm | £15

New Zealand’s finest, Ray O’Leary, comes to Manchester for the first time with the impeccably named show Laughter? I Hardly Know Her! The downbeat Kiwi has been dazzling on the likes of his native version of Taskmaster and Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont-Spelling Bee, as well as his golden clips that do the rounds online every once in a while. The best deadpan comic since Steven Wright.
