Contact Theatre teams up with GRUB to launch new kitchen | Open now

Two beloved Mancunian hotspots are teaming up in what is undoubtedly one of our favourite collaborations to come about.

Contact Theatre, which reopened its doors earlier this year, launches their brand new bar and kitchen this week with a little help from street food stalwarts GRUB.

Renown chef, Michael Anderson of Tikka Chance On Me, has also been drafted in to lend his expertise, helping shape the new menu which is available now.

Open: Mon-Fri, 10am-8pm / Sat, 12pm-8pm.

Salford Rum's festive pop-up bar | Open now

Offering a sneak-peek at their forthcoming Dirty Old Town Distillery, the Salford Rum Company will operate a pop-up Christmas bar in what is soon to be their permanent home in the railway arches on Viaduct Street.

Unsurprisingly, there’ll be plenty of rum to choose from, along with local beers and Christmas tunes.

Open: Wed Sun, 12pm-12am.

Deansgate Square's Italian Christmas market | Open until 22 Dec

Salvi’s are on-hand to help us through the grim weather with an array of authentic Italian staples that you can enjoy from the comfort of a tipi, festive hut or cosied up by a fire pit.

Along with the delicious street food, there’s also an Aperol and Campari bar serving up traditional cocktails and some special festive winter-warmers like hot mulled negronis.

Bold Street Coffee opens on Cross Street | Open now

Liverpool’s beloved and award-winning caffeine slingers Bold Street Coffee have thrown open the doors on their first Manchester location on Cross Street.

Expect speciality coffees, breakfasts and a full lunch menu. The interior will also be decorated with art from local creatives, with visitors able to buy any of the pieces they like the look of.

Invisburger take over kitchen at Stage & Radio | Open now

Environmentally-conscious burger joint Invisiburger have taken over the second floor at Stage & Radio on Port Street.

The new spot joins their original location in Liverpool’s Invisible Wind Factory and is on a mission to maximise every last bit of the ingredients they use, contributing towards their goal of creating a zero-waste fast-food model.

Open: Wed-Fri, 5pm-10pm / Sat-Sun, 2pm-late

Jardim Brazilian BBQ arrives in Alty | Open now

From the co-founder that brought us Fazenda comes a new all-you-can-eat Brazilian spot going by the name of Jardim.

Centred around Rodizio fire-cooking techniques, the new restaurant takes over the old Post Office space on Stamford Road, promising the finest cuts of meats and local produce.
