Singer-songwriter Kyla La Grange headlines the iconic Night & Day this Thu 20 Oct from 8pm. From the goth-folk sounds of her debut to the electro-synth vibes of her later work – Kyla’s latest album While Your Heart’s Still Beating arrived in January this year. Also on the bill, musicians Lindsay Munroe and Poppy Holmes.
Head to The Yard this Fri 21 Oct as AGORA returns. With funding from Arts Council England, AGORA is a project aimed at encouraging collaboration from artists within different scenes across the UK to create an eclectic night of genre bending music. Iceman Productions take over Withington’s Fuel this Sat 22 Oct in aid of Mind Manchester. Mind Your Head will feature sets from Vee VV, Ombudsmen and The Ian Fourcandles Experience. There will also be poetry from Johnny B Smooth throughout the night. Doors will be at 7pm and the minimum donation will be £7, with all proceeds going to Mind Manchester. Kicking off our week – Canadian garage-folk oddballs The Burning Hell celebrate the release of their new album Garbage Island with a gig at The Deaf Institute this Mon 17 Oct.
