As part of this week’s BBC Radio 6’s music festival, the brilliant Ezra Collective will be taking to the stage at the O2 Victoria Warehouse on Thursday.

Not only will attendees be treated to the award-winning British jazz quintet composed of drummer and bandleader Femi Koleoso, bassist TJ Koleoso, keyboardist Joe Armon-Jones, trumpeter Ife Ogunjobi, and tenor saxophonist James Mollison, but they’ll also be lucky enough to catch Fat Dog who are best known for their industrial synth punk or futuristic post-punk sound mixed in with a bit of klezmer.

Anyone into their British rap need look no further than Manchester Academy this Friday night as Manchester-born rapper, Nemzzz, will be taking to the stage for what promises to be a top night out for less than a tenner!

The 20-year-old gained mass recognition back in 2021 with the tracks Elevate and 2MS before eventually releasing his first mixtape Do Not Disturb just last year which went on to debut at number one on the UK R&B Albums Chart.

Kick your weekend off the right way with another BBC Radio 6 festival event as spoken word performer and award-winning hip-hop poet, Kae Tempest, will be headlining at the O2 Victoria Warehouse on Saturday night.

The London-born lyricist has released four studio albums and won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Contemporary Song in 2024, following two previous Ivor Novello nominations in 2020 and a BRIT Award nomination in 2018.

Speaking of their upcoming show, Kae beamed: “I’ve got a new album and I can’t wait for people to hear it. BBC Radio 6 Music have been such a crucial supporter of my music, I can’t wait for listeners to hear this new direction and for me to be able to say thank you to them for giving me so much over the years.”
