The Manchester music scene come together this Tuesday 24 August to celebrate the life and legacy of the late great John Hall. Taking place at Salford’s beautiful Sacred Trinity Church, the line up features performances from Robbie Cavanagh, Audrey’s Dance, Hannah Nicholson, Jo Rose, David Gorman, Lucy & The Caterpillar plus a secret headline act. Spaces are limited so you’re advised to arrive early. Entry will be via cash donation on the door or you can donate online. Proceeds from the event will be going towards John’s new charitable trust to create a “free, clean, Greater Manchester rehearsal space for artists”. Tom Hingley is perhaps best known for being one of the two lead singers with Oldham band Inspiral Carpets between 1989 and 2011 – singing on iconic tracks like ‘This Is How It Feels’ and ‘Saturn Five’.
