We’re very lucky to have the talent that we do in Manchester; it’s one of the things that sets us apart from anywhere else in Britain. Our city is quite literally full to the brim of skilled artists, crafters, bakers and chefs, all waiting patiently to showcase their genius. The only thing better would be to have them all in the same place! Oh wait – we do have that…

Manchester markets are some of the most culture-drenched events in our calendar, but many of them seem to slip off people’s radar. So rather than missing the finest collection of handmade homewares, artisan accessories, prints of perfection and some darn tasty scran, we’ve put together a guide of every single one happening this month – in chronological order. Diaries at the ready!

Ancoats Pop-Up Summer Market | Sat 31 Jul - Sun 1 Aug | Free

Ancoats has certainly proven to be quite the creative space as of late, with floods of independent businesses rushing for a spot in the up and coming suburb. Now, they’re going one step further and hosting their very own pop-up Summer Market.

Showcasing talent from all around the region, the pop-up will serve as a temporary home for all sorts of arts and crafts stalls, including Alex Berry Illustration, Cake Loves Cakes, and Studio Dawn.

Open both Saturday and Sunday from 11am until 4pm, the market can be found on Radium Street. Let’s hope there’s a bit of sunshine for this one, eh?
