This December, Almo invites London based trio Customs, known for their deep diggin’ parties at Giant Steps with guests like Pender Street Steppers and an impressive run of guest mixes for Dekmantel, NTS and an RA mix of the day.

B.L.O.O.M. presents LCY | Partisan Collective | Fri 1 Dec | £13

Former Manchester based collective, B.L.O.O.M. return to the rainy city for the first time in over a year, bringing along LCY for the ride. They’ll be running til the early hours down at Islington Mill in Salford, with B.L.O.O.M. residents, Poison Ivy and Lara Valentine and Manchester’s SCAPA providing support. Expect experimental sounds from across space-bass continuum.

With Jamz Supernova and DJ Marky already under its belt, you’d think a free party in the round at Exhibition couldn’t get much bigger. But they’ve only gone and booked one of the UK’s most influential DJs, who’s been spearheading cosmic sounds with his Radio 6 Music residency and festivals (We Out Here + Worldwide) since day dot. Joining Gilles in the 360 degree DJ booth are long-time DJ Stuart Richards and prolific promoter, Rich Reason.

NYE: Darwin, Aletha b2b Yant | Soup | Sun 31 Dec | £17

The New Year’s eve parties are coming in thick and fast now, and this one is shaping up to be an absolute Soup classic, with Berlin’s Darwin topping a bill of some of Manchester’s most exciting names – there’s techno in the shape of Yant who’ll be playing b2b with Citric’s Aletha, while Soup’s Henzo and Tamus will be trading their finest bassy cuts. What’s more, the basement is running ’til 6am so you’ll have plenty of time to adjust to life in 2024.
