Running throughout 2025, the captivating Spotlight series showcases original works by RNCM students who create, prepare and perform innovative new compositions together across a regular schedule of free half-hour concerts.
On Mon 3 Feb, the RNCM Songsters stage a recital of movement through melody, exploring song infused with the spirit of dance across a programme spanning Schumann, Chopin, Dvorak and more.
On Fri 7 Feb, Paramount Brass chart a vibrant, rollicking journey from flamenco to funk with a selection of incandescent brass standards alongside Bernstein favourites, Gwilym Simcock’s Stomper and DiLorenzo’s Fire Dance.

Taking place every week in the Concert Hall, the RNCM’s Lunchtimes series offers an enchanting afternoon reprieve from the urban frenzy with an eclectic schedule of free performances on Mondays and Thursdays from RNCM students. Expect to hear a variety of ensembles from percussion to piano, and harps to guitar with music that ranges from Bach and Brahms all the way to Ella Fitzgerald.
