The early bird catches the worm – but only sometimes – which is why we’ve collated the best all day breakfasts in Manchester city centre and the surrounding area, so you can feed that craving for a fry up or posh eggs on toast, any time of the day.

Brewski 

Brewski is a pub restaurant that specialises in its brunch menu, serving fresh North American comfort food daily between 9 am and 10 pm. For £40 you can get a Brewski brunch board which includes flat iron steak, fennel and sausage patties, hash browns, black pudding, beans, poached eggs. tomatoes, flat mushrooms, crispy kale with fluffy pancakes and maple syrup. If this is too much food, or too much money, then they do more manageable sized meals, such as steak and eggs (£11), salmon and avocado (£8.50) and their famous Oreo pancakes with vanilla ice cream (£6.50). Vegetarian options are available.

The Koffee Pot

The Koffee Pot is described as a ‘Mancunian institution’ which has been serving up classic no-nonsense British breakfasts for the past decade. They offer separate weekday, weekend and evening menus, but their breakfast’s are served until 4.30pm, and offer country fry-ups. The traditional KP Full English (£9) features Littlewoods Butchers dry-cured bacon, sausage, grilled tomato, hash brown. free-egg egg, buttered mushrooms and baked beans with two slice of toast. If you’re fancying a tipple then look no further as the Koffee Pot has ‘Breakfast cocktails’ featuring an espresso martini (£7), KP Bloody Mary (£7), Mimosa (£6), and Pickleback (3.50) which is whisky with a pickle juice chaser.

Alabama's All American Eatery

Monday through Friday, Alabama’s All American Eatery is open 9am until 3pm, and 5pm on the weekends to satisfy everyone’s breakfast needs with their extensive menu.  Featuring the best of breakfasts from across the pond,  they describe their food as “Bama’s beautiful plates of deliciousness’. They offer both meat and vegan options, as well as sweet treats alongside traditional fry ups. Alabama’s All American Eatery has an extensive drinks menu with both craft beer and cocktails being served – but if its too early for you then you can always check out their coffee or milkshakes!

Federal

Federal serves Manchester’s “best coffee” and come rain or shine, offer the city’s “sunniest welcome”. Federal have two locations, one in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, and one in Deansgate, where they make as much of their food in-house using the best quality ingredients, ensuring maximum freshness. Open from 7.30am to 6pm they offer the best posh eggs on toast in the city centre. Smashed avocado with smoked salmon (optional) on Sourdough with super seed mix and house pickles for £11, or cheddar corn fritters stacked with either bacon or salmon, with avocado, two poached eggs, rocket, sweet chilli/cucumber sop on a lime sour cream. Yum!

Moose Coffee

First founded in 2006, Moose Cafe aim to provide an American-Canadian influenced breakfast and brunch experience, with a short, but sweet, menu. They offer the very finest coffee, which is served hot or iced, and even include a vegan hot chocolate option in their drinks menu. As for food, you’ll find dishes like the Bronx Brunch which is inspired by the New York district and includes their delicious homemade fresh potato hash with garlic, onion and dijon mustard, mixed with chopped smoky sausage, streaky bacon, corned beef, peppers and melted cheddar, all served up with two free-range eggs and white or granary toast. When it comes to all day breakfasts in Manchester, look no further.
