For those who want more of an informal vibe for Christmas, look no further than Northern Quarter eatery Bab who have a variety of set menus. All menus feature the infamous posh kebabs, in the guise of turkey shwarma and chicken skewers – kebabs done Christmassy. Other dishes included are the tomato keftedes, paprika fries and the freshly cooked Bab flatbreads. Who says you can’t have a kebab for Christmas?

New York style bar and eatery Pen & Pencil offers a larger than life two or three course Christmas menu, with very merrily titled dishes like the ’Turkey rides the gravy train’.
