With January now well in the past, you may be starting to feel the fear of all the deals you missed out on as restaurants filled their post Christmas spaces – but worry not as we have rounded up some of the best deals this month. True, there may not be quite the glut of half price meals but that just means the ones you do find are extra special and there are even some January deals extending in to this month if you catch them quick enough.

Volta: 6 Voltini for £25

Throughout the week in February diners can try an array of small plates (voltini) at Didsbury restaurant Volta. From noon – 6.30pm Monday to Friday, the Burton Road restaurant is offering the deal including salt and pepper squid and the moreish tenderstem broccoli.

Pollen: Lunch and Drink for £6.95

One of the many eateries that have popped up on the rapidly changing Ancoats Marina, Pollen has been a much loved bakery for a while now and if you’re in the area around lunchtime you can pick up your lunch and a drink for under £7. Ancoats lunch folk can choose between pizza, soup and a sarnie alongside filter coffee, tea, or a drink.

Sugo: 25% Off New Menu

Ancoats and Altrincham pasta restaurant Sugo is launching a new menu and to celebrate, as well as to get some feedback, they are offering 25% off all new dishes on their menu. This is a very limited time offer – today and tomorrow (February 4 & 5) but worth getting your skates on for if you want to try the burrata mozzarella with rhubarb thyme or their twist on puttanesca.

Lily's: Unlimited Vegetarian Thali

Lily’s produces some of the most loved vegetarian Indian cuisine in Greater Manchester and if you get in just before the weekend you can try it out for a bargain price. Every Thursday, Ashton’s favourite vegetarian restaurant offers unlimited thali for just £12.99 with a changing menu of curries and sides. Thali, a meal made up of different dishes served up on a platter, allows diners to try a wide variety of the food and to ensure you leave well and truly fed. James Martin: Five Courses for £30

We highlighted this last month and, as it’s rolling on until February, it’s definitely worth another shout. For just £30 diners at James Martin’s restaurant in 235 Casino can get his five course tasting menu as well as matched wines. After featuring prominently recently thanks to their Masterchef finalist, Exose Grant Lopo-Ndinga, it’s a bargain chance to try their food and their drink.

Gorilla: 50% off food until 7 Feb

Mission Mars venue Gorilla already has a great reputation for a deal with its £5 after work cocktails ensuring many a week night turns later than expected and you can now pair that with 50% off the food until the end of this week (Friday 7 February). Booking is essential and diners must select the 50% off option when booking.

Cottonopolis: Dim Sumday

If you’re after a relaxed and tasty Sunday, Cottonopolis have you covered on the final day of every weekend. For £26 diners can get two hours of unlimited dim dum served on traditional trolleys. From 4pm diners go off menu and pick whatever takes their fancy from the trolley of delights that reflect Asian snack culture.

Tapeo & Wine: 30% off food and drink

Another one extending their January deal for a bit longer is Tapeo & Wine with 30% off and, unusually, this covers the whole bill so drinks are nearly a third off too. The offer runs up until February 13th so unfortunately not quite long enough for a bit of a cut price Valentine’s Day but maybe the frugal amongst you can celebrate a day early.

Hawksmoor: 2 Course and A Cocktail For £30

It’s hard to turn down the decadence and glamour of Hawksmoor, one of the best London imports to Manchester, and on a Sunday evening there’s even more reason to get yourself to the steak restaurant. The Deansgate site is offer two courses for £30 and they’ll even throw in a cocktail. Available from 5pm until 9.30pm, booking is very much advised as it gets very busy.

Bistrotheque: 3 courses for £20

The fancy new cultural space on Ducie Street, Cultureplex, hosts a restaurant alongside its cinema, gym, bar, and soon to be open terrace, and if you sneak your order in before 7pm you can get 3 courses for just £20 every day of the week. The deal doesn’t include steak but does include the twice baked souffle with truffle cream and potato and comte pie, so that shouldn’t be too much of a worry. Plus, if you show your Mini Cini ticket to the Bistrotheque staff, you can get any main course (minus the steak) for just £10.
