Everyone deserves good food all of the time, which is why we’ve compiled a list of the best late night food spots that Manchester city centre has to offer.
Cottonpolis offers a slice of sophistication to late night food. It’s a Japanese-inspired restaurant based in a beautiful grade II listed building in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Their food comes in four sections: Ice (Sashimi, sushi etc) Fire (Wagyu prime cuts, fish etc) Oil (Crab/veggie tempura, Katsu Curry etc), and Steam (bao buns, dumplings etc), and they also offer a gluten free and vegan menu. Their snacks come in on the pricier side, but it’s worth it. Cottonopolis is a dynamic destination for Asian style food and is open until 1 AM.
Archie’s is a Mancunian classic and shouldn’t be forgotten about when talking about late night food. It’s open until 2 AM, which means that you can get your after-the-club burger and fries, from two out of their three locations in Manchester. They offer 10% student discount all year round with valid ID, and have food for even the pickiest eaters, with gluten free and vegan options amongst their world-famous beef burgers.
Do you love American style food? Modern craft beer and excellent spirits? Then Cain and Grain is a place you should try. Set over 3 themed floors in the heart of the Northern Quarter, this New York style bar and restaurant offers three types of ribs, six types of fries, and a slew of bar bites and sides, as well as fancy garlic bread. They also offer mouth watering desserts, like pecan pie with honeycomb nuggets served with honeycomb ice cream, whipped cream and a chocolate fudge brownie and vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream and toffee sauce. Crazy Pedro’s, which has two locations in the city centre, is open 7 days a week, from 12pm till 4am and offers the best late night pizzas. They sell by the slice, or whole 16-inch pizzas, which is perfect for those who wants a snack, or a whole feast. For £28 (yes, £28, but wait) you can get Pizza Nachos which are “ridiculous nachos with a whole pizza of your choice chopped up and thrown in”. If this is up your alley but a bit too expensive, don’t worry – they have smaller options including large nachos for £6, and “ridiculous” nachos, served in a trash can lid for £15. Slices come in at £3, and whole pizzas at £16, coupled with their signature cocktails or frozen margaritas, Crazy Pedro’s offers the ultimate late night grub.
