If you’ve been landed with the task of organising the work Christmas do, you might as well use the opportunity to plan something you’ll enjoy. We’ve selected a bunch of places offering Christmas parties in Manchester that we’d be quite happy to attend with workmates, even on the coldest, wettest Mad Friday. From a David Bowie-themed experience to tipsy golf and photobooth fun, there are options to suit all tastes.
Swap the usual hotel function room for a celebration surrounded by Manchester’s industrial heritage. The Science and Industry Museum offers Christmas party packages in its Revolution Manchester Gallery with options ranging from canapés and bowl food to a classic three-course festive dinner. For smaller gatherings, its newly refurbished Conference Centre is also available for Christmas lunches and dinners.

With its glass roof, outdoor deck and private Airstream bar, The Dome on top of the ABC Building is a picture-perfect setting for a Christmas party. It’s available for groups of 60 to 300, with indoor and outdoor spaces so you can move between partying in the dome and gazing at the stars from the rooftop terrace. Food and drinks packages are available with speciality cocktails.

Firehouse brings a lively, late-night edge to the festive season. Its Winter Village runs from 11 November to 31 December 2026, promising fires, festive feasting, winter drinks, shows, DJs and late-night entertainment. Ideal if you want to celebrate Christmas with a proper NQ night out.

Bowling, arcade games, karaoke, cocktails and festive food all come together at Lane7. The entry-level package starts at £20 per person and includes a game of bowling and three drinks per person. More costly options include extra games and a Christmas food platter. For bigger teams, private and exclusive hire is available.

Courts Club’s Winter Assembly brings an après-ski spin to the St John’s district. Expect a Bavarian-style beer hall, festive food and drinks, private karaoke chalets, fire pits for toasting marshmallows and festive film screenings. They’ve got spaces for parties of 25 or more and capacity for up to 700 guests. Smaller groups can book individual experiences, including private karaoke huts.

Junkyard Golf Club combines deranged indoor crazy golf with cocktails, street-food-style grub, a retro arcade and a photobooth for those regrettable team pictures. Packages start at £26 per person, with extras including more drinks, karaoke and options for exclusive hire. A good option for folks who’d rather do something fun than sit through another formal dinner.
