With Manchester theatre and arts venues facing an uncertain future, we’ve decided to tweak our monthly round up of the best stage shows in the city to instead share advice regarding the best ways that we can help them continue doing what they do best. Below, you’ll find details on how you can show your support during this tricky time…
For £30 per year, you can become a HOME Member, which gives you priority booking for selected events, two free cinema tickets, discounts and more. Alternatively, from £7.50 per month, you can become a HOME Friend, which helps provide bursaries for young people taking part in theatre activities.
To help this grassroots venue makes its in-house productions, you can become a Member. There are of three different levels: £5, £25, and £50 per month, with increasing benefits. For £50, you can also purchase a year-long Gift Membership for a friend or loved one.
Becoming a Quay Patron (£250 per year), gets you many bonuses, including access to reserved seats and invitations to private gallery viewings. If you have even more cash to spare, there’s three other levels of membership with even greater perks.
This self-described Radical Arts Centre is housed in a Victorian building in Hulme. The organisers are actively crowd funding to raise £50,000 to make much needed improvements to said building and its facilities.
For as little as £5 per month, you can become a Member of the Royal Exchange Theatre and enjoy priority booking, exclusive discounts, receive a regular newsletter and access to VIP events. Three other tiers of membership (£10, £25, and £50) are also available.
This mixed arts venue in Sale has a Family Club. For the low, low price of just £7.50 per family per year, you can receive invitations to exclusive events and also get discounted tickets for theatre shows, family films and an arts club.
Based in Hulme, this charity arts and theatre venue offers a range of activities and shows for children and families. Monthly donations will be enhanced by Gift Aid and the Arts Council’s match scheme – and you’ll receive plenty of good stuff for yourself.
