Once a lone vanguard of Detroit’s 80s early techno scene, legendary DJ and producer Jeff Mills joins the Hallé for a one-off UK performance of his groundbreaking show, Light From The Outside World.

Known reverently across the electronic music world as ‘The Wizard’, Mills’ latest project offers a flawless deconstruction of the longstanding boundaries between techno and symphony, between analogue and digital, with a captivating recalibration of his classic compositions to be performed with a full, live orchestra.

On Sat 30 Dec, the Hallé rounds off its 2023 calendar with a full-force night of unabashed pop nostalgia, as Manchester’s symphony orchestra transports the audience back to a golden age of boy bands, girl power, Britpop and endearingly saccharine ballads for one night only.

Led by the Hallé’s showstopping vocalists, the Best of the ’90s programme features iconic pop hits like Let Me Entertain You, Spice Up Your Life, I Will Always Love You, Mambo No. 5, Tragedy and many, many more.
