With world premieres, boundary-pushing innovation, reimagined disco classics and free performances, the RNCM’s latest batch of autumn shows has something for everyone.
The RNCM Session Orchestra transforms iconic disco anthems into powerful orchestral creations. Expect to hear reimagined versions of hits from the likes of Chic, Gloria Gaynor and Diana Ross, expertly rearranged for the full sound of an orchestra and soloists from the school’s Pop Department.

In this latest instalment of the RNCM Young Explorers series, families can enjoy an interactive afternoon that combines live orchestral music with the imagination of Roald Dahl.

A perfect way to introduce little ones to classical music, Dahl’s beloved Revolting Rhymes Part 2 will be shown on screen while its soundtrack is brought to life by a live orchestra.

Fusing dance, electronics and live music, RNCM celebrates Steve Reich’s 90th birthday year with a boundary-pushing performance.

For the show, RNCM musicians will be joined by supremely talented dancers from Company Chameleon. The evening’s programme includes the world premiere of Flowers in Battle, as well as Reich’s groundbreaking Different Trains and Anna Meredith’s sweeping Tuggemo.
RNCM’s free lunchtime concerts, which take place on Mondays and Thursdays, offer the perfect respite between the working day.

Lasting around 40 minutes, autumn’s programme features everything from grand brass band shows to intimate, two-piano performances.
