The Refuge’s Vegan Deal

Principal Hotel’s restaurant and bar The Refuge is offering a special lunchtime and early dinner offer for vegans, or indeed anyone who fancies eating a little less meat. For £20 per person, two people can get a carafe of wine alongside 6 vegan dishes. Options include the broccoli with romesco sauce, and the chickpea daal amongst others. Offer is available from 12-3pm and then again from 5-6.30pm weekdays.

The Allotment Free Lunch

Another offer for the vegans – The Allotment on Lloyd Street isn’t just offering money off food, they’re offering completely free lunches. Served between 12-2pm, Allotment Boxes are quick delicious lunches to take away, and the first twenty people through the doors every Thursday in September will get a free one.

Very much not one for those of a plant-based bent, the Tomahawk Tuesday is a treat for a pair of meat lovers. £50 gets a gigantic Tomahawk steak for two with two sides and peppercorn sauce. The bone-in-ribeye steak is perfectly charred in the Masterchef winner’s restaurant and the special offer is only available on Tuesdays. Reservations recommended.

Free Booze At Flok | Tiny Rebel Takeover | Fri 13 Sep

If free booze is your thing, Fri 13 Sep sees Tiny Rebel pitch up at Stevenson Square’s Flok with a couple of cases of free booze. The Welsh brewery is taking over the taps at the Spanish flavoured bar and to celebrate, the first 25 people through their doors from 6pm will get a free can of the breweries beer. Alongside the free beer expect special releases, and swag giveaways.

Canto Three Dishes for £15

Ancoats’ Portuguese neighbourhood restaurant aims to entice those from the surrounding area to make it the go-to spot for a tapas bite with their 3 tapas for £15 deal. On Wednesday through to Saturday you can enjoy the offer until 7pm and on Sunday it’s all day. With dishes including their caramelised cauliflower and the pil pil cod included in the offer, and their delightful almond tart, it’ll be hard to stick at just three.

Seed & Cherry Free Pastry

The new artisanal coffee shop on Church Street aims to tempt those looking for a morning coffee fix into their new cafe with a free pastry with any hot drink. With a choice of all the usual classic breakfast pastries, freshly baked, alongside a carefully selected choice of beans, the offer is available 8.00-10.30am every weekday. For those wanting breakfast outside those times, there are options such as berry bowls and french toast.

El Camino Deal

The first pop-up in The Cotton Factory, El Camino, is offering their tacos for just £2.50 each on a Tuesday. The Mexican street food restaurant has been making a home for itself in the kitchen of the new apartment hotel and diners can try their braised ox cheek or chipotle cauliflower tacos all day on Taco Tuesdays. Hawksmoor £5 Corkage

A classic food and drink offer that’s always worth revisiting. Deansgate’s branch of the steak restaurant, Hawksmoor, offers corkage for just £5 every Monday. The twist is that this is on any size of bottle so if you manage to get your hands on a balthazaar of vino you’re going to be drinking well for much less than usual, and getting to eat the fine Hawksmoor steak at the same time.

Beer And Bab Deal

Little Lever Street’s Berlin style kebab house has been winning many a friend since it opened, and if you’ve not managed to try it yet then there’s no better time than early evening weekdays. Between 4pm-7pm weekdays, you can get a beer and a kebab for just £12. Considering the happy hour going on at their sister bar downstairs, it’s a great way to start some midweek nights out.

This is a classic for those looking for some cheap sustenance with their booze. Buy a drink and the blues joint on Jack Rosenthal Street will let you have as many wings as you can handle for 10p each. We’ve seen many a fully loaded plate as brave souls try their best to get through what seems like a whole KFC restaurant of chicken. Available everyday.
