As we count down the days until lockdown restrictions start to ease, we thought we’d look ahead to brighter times and share some details of three summer events at Manchester street food and drink space Grub that you can book right now. Let’s take a look…
It may be five months late – but that isn’t stopping Grub from celebrating National Lager Day (originally 10 December) with a good old fashioned knees up. By partnering with local brewing company Manchester Union Lager, this celebration of all things hoppy will include a talk by these brewing-experts, taking attendees through the fermentation process and ending with a tasting session. Vegan street food vendors Seitan’s Kebab will be on food duty and there will even be chance to get your hands on some nifty Manchester Union Lager merch.

They say good things come to those who wait and we’re not letting anything get in the way of celebrating National Lager Day 2020, even if it is several months late!

Okay, so this one isn’t technically a one-off event but let’s be honest – as soon as lockdown lifts, any excuse to get back into a beer garden will be an event we’re all looking forward to. While we wait for that to happen, Grub have started taking table bookings for the covered seating areas in their eco-friendly beer garden from Monday 12 April until Sunday 30 May. With an ever-changing roster of exciting local street food vendors and a selection of delicious and readily-available hand-crafted beers, we can’t imagine a better way to try and forget 2020 ever even happened. Book your table by following the link below.
We cannot wait to see you when outdoor hospitality reopens shortly!

To help us all get back into the party spirit, the Grub team are inviting us to a Cinco De Mayo party on Wednesday 5 May. Peruvian and Latin American street food vendors (and Grub-E-Mart favourites) Yum Yum Manchester will be on hand to serve up some authentic dishes in the venue’s sun-trap beer garden, and the bar will be fully stocked with tequila and cocktails. What’s more – the first fifty people to book a table will get a tequila on the house. What are you waiting for? Book your place via the link below.
