Right at the centre of Chorlton’s Four Banks crossroads, Dulcimer is one of the neighbourhood’s most reliable venues for great events and good times. Here are five highlights from their glittering events calendar this week.
With his winding folk narratives and catchy melodies, Sam Jefferson has recently achieved national radio airplay and has toured across the country. You can catch his blues numbers this Wednesday on Dulcimer’s intimate stage.
For those in the know, this is THE Open Mic Night in South Manchester, regularly showcasing some of the best talent the city has to offer. From masterful interpretations of the classics to original songs fresh out of the microwave, this night regularly hosts memorable, show-stopping performances. Sign up on the night to take part.
It’s Friday the 13th but don’t be spooked — it’s only the inimitable Andy Shake’n’Fingerpop, our local selector spinning Neo-Soul, Afrobeat, and other genres from his superb record collection. Sleep not.
Coming up on Saturday night is Moondance with DJ Coops, playing only the best in funk, soul, afrobeat, latin, R’n’B and more. From 9pm til late.
