We run you through five of the best events happening this week at Chorlton’s Dulcimer, from workshops to live music and DJS — all totally free.
Interested in using and developing live visuals? This free workshop, hosting by DRIFT, will introduce you to digital art software, effects and offer a place to meet potential collaborators. Sean Strawb Clarke Retina, an experienced visual creator, is there to talk you through some tips and tricks.
Friday night is soundtracked by the inimitable Andy Shake’n’Fingerpop, a local selector digging deep into his crate of wax and spinning Neo-Soul, Afrobeat and other worldly jams.
Head upstairs this Saturday, as Dulcimer welcomes Sieben for their first ever Manchester show, fresh off the back of a European tour. Sieben are a band led by Matt Howden, featuring intricately looped strings and groovy improvisations. Check out their new single, Kickstart, ahead of the show.
Close off the week at Dulcimer in the company of DJ Baol, aka Picko-d, known for soothing chill-out/ambient sets as featured on Reform Radio.
