This Monday 19 July marks ‘Freedom Day’ for Manchester and the rest of England. The further easing of lockdown restrictions means we’ll be able to enjoy more time with friends and the city has plenty in store for you to check out. Brand new city centre venue Square One present their Summer series from Saturday 24 July. Classic Album Cabaret bring their Bowie special to Manchester’s Albert Hall on Thursday 22 July. This track-by-track celebration of the iconic ‘The Rise and Fall Of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars’ album will feature the record performed in full as a cabaret show. As part of the Bruntwood Stage at Homeground, DJ Paulette presents TOGETHER from Monday 19 until Friday 23 July. Aiming to bring hope and music to the community, you can expect sets from DJ Veba, Krysko, DJ Swindells, Gina Breeze with more to be announced. Head down there from around 5pm onwards for these free events or book a table to guarantee a seat.
Beer, food and music – you’ll find it all at the Manchester Craft Beer Festival taking place at Depot Mayfield Friday 23 until Saturday 24 July. Take your pick with beer from over 40 world-class breweries, food from some of Manchester’s top chefs and DJ sets from the likes of Craig Charles, Django Django and more. Kicking off on the very day itself, Let’s Start The Dance comes to Freight Island on Monday 19 July. Filled with Manchester’s DJ heroes back-to-back all night – you can expect sets from Katbrownsugar, Dave Haslam, Gina Breeze and loads more. Taking place between 5pm and 11pm, this event will be free – however you can book a table to guarantee your spot on the website.
