Another strong week of events at Chorlton stalwart, Dulcimer. With Open Mic Nights, live performances, and DJ parties, here are five reasons to be cheerful at Dulcimer as we count down to the weekend.
This Thursday, in conjunction with the Open Mic event upstairs, Pat the Butcher selects records from his collection of funk, soul and reggae, getting you in the mood for the weekend.
Dulcimer welcomes Americana group Ash Grey and the Burners for an intimate show this Friday night. Raised in Austin, Texas, Ash Grey is celebrated for his eclectic mix of psychedelic country and rock, joined on this tour with the steel guitar of backing band, The Burners. Not to be missed.
Coming up on Friday night is a special event celebrating the music of influential progressive rock band, Hawkwind. Sonic Attack are an established Hawkwind tribute act, playing notable hits from that band’s extensive back catalogue. Expect live and heavy psychedelic space rock. Complemented downstairs by DJ Combover on the decks.
Saturday night sees Dulcimer regular, DJ Dunc, delve into his record collection for the Reasons to be Cheerful night Expect choice selections from post-punk, alternative rock and disco. Get stuck in!
