Following sell-out runs in London and a critically acclaimed stint at the Edinburgh Fringe, Gwyneth Goes Skiing brings a ‘hilarious, camp and outrageous’ (Attitude) story of love, treachery, celebrity worship and mountainous meet-cutes to Hope Mill from Wed 11 – Sat 21 Sep.

Lauded as ‘a high-camp, snow-speckled, fevered fantasia of queer joy’ in The Recs’ glowing five-star review, the gleefully chaotic new show from Awkward Productions follows the tribulations (and trial) of a retired optometrist who, in 2016, collides painfully with Gwyneth Paltrow on the slopes of Deer Valley, Utah.

Seven years later, the pair face off over a lengthy, wildly dramatic lawsuit brimming with A-list anguish, gauche gossip and holistic hypocrisy, as the Goop-flogging superstar takes the stand in a ‘gloriously ridiculous’ (The Stage) courtroom comedy featuring original songs by Leland (RuPaul, Troye Sivan), a video appearance by Trixie Mattel and the singing voices of Darren Criss (Glee) and Catherine Cohen (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner).
