LadyFest MCR return this Halloween Weekend to celebrate femininity in film with a screening of high school witch classic, The Craft. What the film offers is similar in regards stature to Clueless in its all-female cast. However, in the film Sarah (Robin Tunney) discovers she has telekinetic powers, to which attracts three other girls of similar powers. What happens next is an exploration into the destructive nature of power and what occurs when humanity comes into contact with the occult. Yet, if the film does not appeal to you on this All Hallows weekend then the likes of Stevie Nicks and Kate Bush will feature in the magical Witch Disco, commencing before and after the screening. Additionally, there will be numerous quizzes and costume prices on the night so a ghostly outfit may be needed. With the doors opening at 6pm and the film screening around 8-10pm, getting down early is imperative. Alongside covering yourself in fake blood, is there a better way to celebrate this year’s scariest few days?
