The John Cooper Clarke Theatre, the recently renamed upstairs room in Chapel Street’s Black Lion, will host a comedy thriller in the run up to Halloween. Spook Manor follows the story of Lady Hawke and her struggle to keep her historical family home after her husband dies. This play, set in the 1890s, is produced by the independent production company New Live Theatre, which promotes North West talent via its comedy and drama productions. A short section of the production, directed by Paul Kenney and written by Paul Kenney and Nicola Radin, was showcased at the inaugural Manchester Theatre Showcase in July 2012.
