Manchester Art Gallery continues its new Thursday evening openings with a celebration of A Sleek Dry Yell, a sculpture by Haroon Mirza. The piece, which was recently purchased by five galleries in the North West and is on display at MAG until 23 Sep, incorporates pieces of furniture, water, an old television monitor, a record player, wooden speakers and video footage of Richard ‘Kid’ Strange. Cult musician and actor Strange will be hosting a live performance on Thursday evening, with Mirza DJing. The artist was winner of 2011’s Northern Art Prize.
