Hatch, the popular outdoor food and drink destination along the Oxford Road corridor, has announced it will be closing down at the end of September.
In a statement shared on Instagram, Hatch revealed that leisure chain STACK will be taking over the site and that the group intend to transform the space into a larger destination towards the end of 2024.
The current site will now close at the end of September, except for ÖL Bar, which will remain open ‘throughout the process’.
The full statement reads: “Since opening in December 2017, Hatch has created a space for independent businesses to innovate and grow. We’re proud to have founded this neighbourhood and see it flourish.
“We believe that it’s now time to pass the reigns onto a new team who are ready to take the site to the next level.
“With that in mind we have recently exchanged contracts with @stackseaburn who intend to transform the site into a bigger destination.
“This means that we will be saying goodbye to Hatch at the end of September when we will close with the exception of @olbrewerybar who will remain open throughout the process. The site will reopen once STACK has redeveloped it and this is expected to be towards the end of 2024.
“For now, we are open for business as usual so please come along and enjoy all our Hatch traders have to offer.
“When the site reopens all food and beverage traders will be given priority if they decide to apply for a unit within the newly created STACK. In the meantime we are supporting them in every way we can in finding new homes.
“We’d like to say a HUGE thank you to our traders and every single business who has been part of the Hatch journey, our AMAZING site team and all of you, our wonderful guests. Hatch has always been a place that is made special by its people and you have created a community that we are truly proud of.”
