Haystack Dating and Manchester Wire bring a playful new singles event to Pong & Puck

Following their sold-out September event, Haystack Dating is taking over Great Northern’s Pong & Puck with another evening of games, conversation and connection in an unmissable Manchester Wire collab event on Thu 16 Oct.

Haystack swaps endless swiping and frantic speed dating for a relaxed, organic atmosphere that blends natural conversation with smart technology. It works as follows: guests simply grab a ticket and fill out a short form. Haystack then run their own algorithm to match groups of compatible people based on their age, interests, career aspirations and sexuality. Then, you get matched to a table, grab a pint as a group, and try out the unlimited games on offer, before enjoying the rest of the evening at your own pace.

Running from 6pm until close – perfect for popping down for a drink after work – the night includes access to the venue’s shuffleboards, ping pong and beer pong tables, darts lanes and even a karaoke booth. With friendly reps on hand to support anyone who’d like a little guidance, the focus is on easy introductions and shared experiences in a welcoming environment .

Inclusive and open to all ages, most guests attend solo, giving singles a chance to abandon the apps and meet new people face-to-face.
