Four years on from their last exhibition in Manchester, People of the Streets have revealed a new city-wide series of exhibits showcasing lived experiences of homelessness in Manchester.

The work has been captured by 10 people who participated in a photography and storytelling course, with the resulting work to be shown across Manchester Cathedral, The Royal Exchange and Ashton Metrolink Station.

The flagship exhibit, at Manchester Cathedral, will open with a launch event at 12pm on Sat 9 Jul, and will run until Sun 17 Jul. The Royal Exchange will also house work between Sat 9 Jul – Sun 17 Jul, while Ashton Metrolink Station will display work From Thu 21 Jul – Sat 23 Jul.

Prints of the photos will be available to purchase online, with 50% of the sale price going to POTS photographers.

People of the Streets aims to shine a light on homelessness in Greater Manchester and the Greater Manchester ‘Housing First’ pilot — a new innovative approach to tackling homelessness through first-person narratives of the people with lived experiences.
