Publicised as a final farewell to the UK, pioneer, living legend and personification of The Funk, George Clinton, visits Manchester as part of a series of goodbye gigs with Parliament Funkadelic. Recently appearing on the Flying Lotus Flamagra LP, and receiving a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019, George has a hologram in storage, so come and check the real funk before he jumps mothership. Taking place at the Albert Hall, the gig’s a mini-festival thanks to Moovin’, who come in out of the fields and make their club promoting debut. Known for pulling out all the stops with a community-oriented vision, they’ve enlisted party starters Greg Wilson, Riot Jazz, DJ Woody, Miss Velvet and The Blue Wolf plus Ste Mac to round out a packed gig.
