Hot ticket: Homoelectric takes over Escape to Freight Island for Bank Holiday party

Homoelectric is heading to Escape to Freight Island this August Bank Holiday. The legendary all-inclusive disco for ‘homos, heteros, lesbos and don’t knows” will be taking over Platform 15 at this brand new Manchester venue for a twelve hour party – and tickets are only a fiver. On Monday 31 August, noon to midnight – visitors can expect sets from all the Homoelectric DJs, plus amazing food, wine and cocktails at the Mayfield’s new Freight Island, including Voo Doo Ray’s Pizza, Krum Doughnuts, Patty Queen burgers and more.

With high hopes for good weather – they tell us it’ll “be more beach bar than Berghein” – Manchester’s newest outdoor space will make a perfect setting for a mix of beautiful Balearic music in the summer sunshine. Tickets are due to go on sale on Wednesday 12 August priced at £5 per person and you’ll be able to book a table for 2-6 friends – however these are bound to go very fast.
