Thanks to a new government incentive, hungry punters can soon enjoy a hearty discount at many popular Manchester restaurants. Under the new ‘eat out to help out’ scheme aimed at encouraging people to return to food venues and give the hospitality sector a much-needed boost, diners can get up to £10 off per-head when they eat at a restaurant anytime between Monday and Wednesday throughout August. Whilst alcohol is exempt to this offer, it can be redeemed on a range of food and soft drinks options at restaurants, cafes and pubs across the UK with businesses able to claim the discounted money back. Restaurants keen to get involved with this programme must register their interest through a website that is due to open on Monday 13 July. At the time of writing, it’s unclear which Manchester eateries will be honouring this discounted service. However with many having spent the bulk of summer with their doors closed, it’s a safe bet that plenty will welcome it when it becomes available. Be sure to check back soon for our guide on which Manchester restaurants to visit to enjoy the ‘eat out to help out’ scheme.
