Fathers all over Manchester are in for a treat this weekend as Makers Market sets up shop in Spinningfields all day Saturday and Sunday to ensure your dad, granddad, step-dad, dad in law, Dadaist has a lovely time. You’ll get two chances to get it right by first heading down on the Saturday to pick out the perfect gift from the numerous food and drink traders or by taking dear old dad down to pick out his own tipple on the hallowed day itself. Of course the market isn’t just for pops this weekend, all comers will find something that tickles their fancy from the light touch of the macarons from Baked with Love Mcr to the more substantial open topped pies of Cumbrian Pie Company. There’s vintage gear provided by Vintage What Nots and the old man can rummage through the crates of Vinyl Messengers to re-up his record collection. If you’d rather just kick back and have a good old father son chat then there’s always time to pull up a deck chair, grab a locally crafted ale from Marts Beer (and maybe a ‘Nutella Samosa’ from Perfect Samosa) and relax in the deck chairs whilst listening to the Makers DJ spin some cracking tunes.
