Okay, whisper it, but it’s summer time. We rarely get that much here in our beloved but vexing ‘rainy city’ – but when we do, it usually means one thing: drinking copious amounts of refreshing booze, preferably procured from an orchard somewhere. To celebrate this, Soup Kitchen brings you a long weekend of cider-drinking, with real cider options from all over England and Wales – including the likes of Gwynt y Ddraig, Westons, Thatchers, Broadoak, Double Vision, Gwatkins, Hogans and more. Plus there’ll be an array of rare imported French ciders, renowned for their refinement and complexity. Good job the festival lasts for four days as you will struggle to fit all that in to one scoop. Soup Kitchen will of course be providing the best in home-made and organic foodstuffs to compliment the alcoholic appley goodness, with their resident DJs spinning records all weekend too.
