Anotherway Now is a group which hosts bi-monthly live talks at the International Anthony Burgess Foundation. The next event is this Thursday, and features budget food writer and anti-poverty campaigner Jack Monroe as special guest. Monroe’s most famous cookbook is called A Girl Called Jack and comes from personal experience. Monroe raised a child while on the bread line and in 2013 was named on the Independent’s ‘Pink List’ as one of the most influential LGBT people in the UK. You may also have seen Jack pop up on the BBC’s Question Time, debating against the likes of Michael Portillo.
