International acclaimed theatre artist and musician Le Gateau Chocolat brings an enchanting new one-person show about self-discovery, acceptance and joy to HOME.
Fresh from celebrated runs at London’s Unicorn Theatre and the New Victory Theatre in New York, I Wish is a story about fairytale wishes being granted, but not necessarily panning out as originally hoped.
Presented for the very first time starring the show’s co-writer and co-creator, Le Gateau Chocolat, the tale hones in on the fabulous Wish Giver Effie, who ‘sashays into a fairy-tale world of hopes, dreams and unintended consequences…’
Expect glorious original songs, style and plenty of sass in a theatrical extravaganza that the whole family can enjoy.
I Wish is co-created and performed by Le Gateau Chocolat, with Unicorn Theatre’s Artistic Director Rachel Bagshaw (A Dead Body in Taos, Fuel; Augmented by Sophie Woolley, Told by an Idiot; Midnight Movie, Royal Court Theatre), and original music and lyrics by Seiriol Davies (Betty! A Sort of Musical, Royal Exchange Theatre; How to Win Against History, Young Vic; Branwen: Dadeni, Frân Wen).
The show was previously performed in London and New York with Jordan Laviniere (Wise Children’s Wuthering Heights, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Rent) in the role of the Wish Giver.
I Wish runs at HOME from Fri 29 Nov – Sun 8 Dec. Book your tickets using the link below.
