Roots reggae party starters Culture Clash invite an excellent line-up to Band On The Wall this week for a celebration of UK sound system, taking the audience on a six-hour journey through the history of sound system culture. Following a successful first outing last year, the legendary Sir Coxsone returns to spread the sounds and styles of his native Jamaica. Beginning his career in the 60s, the legendary veteran soundman and record producer has achieved an almost-mythical status on UK scene, winning every accolade the reggae world can offer. Joining him this week, Leeds posse Iration Steppas will be bringing their dub roots sound system, self-described as being one of the best, and “certainly one of the loudest” in Europe. They split the decks with childhood friends Digistep and DJ Stryda, better known as dub duo Dubkasm. Earlybird tickets have now sold out, but £12.50 advanced tickets are still available.
