One of the great things about art is that it can pop up in the most unlikely of locations, even an alleyway in Moss Side.

Once a fly-tipping hotspot, the local community has pulled together over the last couple of years to turn the alleyway into a wonderful, green oasis.

Along with the rows of plant pots and cascading branches, Manchester-based design studio DR.ME have created a mini typographic exhibition using lyrics and quotes from Moss Side residents of the past and present printed on mirrored perspex.

Reflective Passage features A Guy Called Gerald, Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy), Cleopatra, Lavender Rodriguez and Barry Adamson (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds/Magazine), Anthony Burgess, Erinma Bell MBE, Emeline Pankhurst, Friedrich Engels, former lord mayor Roy Walters and boxing trainer Phil Martin. All of these and more have spent time in this local area during their lives, and have enriched it in some way.

The exhibition is set to launch on Thu 25 Aug.
