It’s Not Repetition, It’s Discipline – The Fall film premiere at Gullivers

A new documentary film about local legends The Fall will have its Manchester premiere at Gullivers, next week. It’s Not Repetition, It’s Discipline explores the band’s work and its influence on modern music. The title is a quote from bandleader Mark E. Smith regarding his work ethic and refusal to change his music for the sake of it. The film features interviews with Smith himself as he gives his own take on the band’s long and storied history. There are also exclusive interviews with a host of famous musicians who were inspired by The Fall, including Thurston Moore, Stephen Malkmus, Henry Rollins and Dee Dee Ramone. This is event presented by Twisted Reel, a regular film night in the Northern Quarter.
