After creating a buzz last year with their vibrant, 1960s-infused psych-pop, Aussie dance outfit Jagwar Ma return to the UK with their first headline tour, following a support slot for Foals in Europe. Originally set to perform at the end of May, the duo will instead take to The Deaf Institute’s stage next month, following doctor’s orders to reschedule. This new date falls just after the release debut album Howlin’, giving you enough time to polish up on your dance moves and get acquainted with their psychedelic beats – not a far cry from the acid electro days of Manchester in the 1980s. Start your preparations now with the infectious groove of single The Throw.

Thu 20 June, The Deaf Institute, 135 Grosvenor Street, M1 7HE, Tel: 0161 276 9350, 7pm, £6, www.seetickets.com
